Recognised as the Cotswold's leading micro-brewery, Goffs Brewery was founded in Winchombe by Marcus and Alison Goff, with the aim of establishing a family concern, using a closely-guarded traditional recipe. Marcus's father, master brewer Brian Goff, created the first batch of ‘Jouster' in 1994 – a good honest session bitter which has twice been a finalist in CAMRA's Great British Beer Festival, as well as many other regional awards. Further recognition as ‘Gloucestershire's Champion Best Bitter' in 1999 created a great demand for Goff's ales, which are now available in pubs, inns and hotels throughout the West Country.

As well as ‘Jouster', the well-hopped ‘White Knight' and thirst quenching ‘Tournament' have become firm favourites with real ale drinkers; all three ales are now always available from this Cotswold brewery.

To complement Goff's regular beers the Ales of the Round Table were introduced, offering a different unique beer each month.

Personalised ales are supplied to businesses, retail outlets – and even private customers who may wish to mark a special occasion with their own ale.

Goff's own ‘Sleepless Knight' (brewed at the birth of each of Marcus and Alison's two daughters) received national acclaim and was even toasted on television!
